First developed in 2008 by Brian Solis, The Conversation Prism is a visual map of the social media landscape. As it has developed over the years, it has tracked dominant and promising social networks (and some that never succeeded), organised according to how they’re used in everyday life.

You can use the Conversation Prism to demonstrate that social media is not a just a fad and that it’s bigger than just Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Pinterest. It’s also a great, visual way to motivate yourself and others to think about social media in new ways, especially when planning your social media strategy.
